F.A.Q.

Why are custom wheels so much different than factory wheel? Is it worth the extra investment?

There are a few key differences between wheels that are factory built and those that are custom. First off, factory wheel are produced for the masses. When a large manufacturer makes a wheel they are only trying to appeal to everyone, and not specifically to you. With a custom wheel, every single part is selected from a huge selection of different manufacturers in order to make your ideal wheel set. Factors like weight, riding style, conditions, and intended use all go into making what you can rely on to be your favorite set of wheels day in and out.

Why do we have prebuilt wheels? Aren’t we supposed to be a custom wheel company?

The prebuilt wheels on our websites are simply ideas to get people thinking about what may be suitable for them. We are setting (but are not limited to) a few different options that we like the most out on the table for people to think about.

How long will it take to get my wheels? And do we keep you posted on build progress?

Turnaround time on wheels can vary greatly depending on what exactly your looking to do. Most parts we have in stock. Many can be ordered within a few days. However some manufacturers do take 4-6 weeks to deliver parts. If this is the case with an order, you will be notified immediately. Most custom builds take 3-5 weeks to complete.

Can I purchase online?

All of our custom wheelsets can be purchased online. Most parts that are in stock are available on the website as well. If you have any questions before making a purchase please contact roland@zencyclery.com
